Annika's pov

It took some work, but I finally gained it. It has been 3 days since Kali started her Bloodline Unlocking, and two days since I gained the Drius metal. The metal is amazing, but hard to shape, and took some testing and learning to do so, and it was only possible because Draka made the smelter, and the Smithing room, as we named it.
It is a big room of about 10 meters by 15 meters, and is good enough for starting out with [Smithing], and we can change it later, if it is needed.
'Draka has really been working. All day, she would mine and mine more.'
While Draka has been mining, Nina and I would hunt. We want to reach Tier-2 as soon as possible, and Nina will most likely succeed today, since she is level 49, and has been for a while now. I only reached level 44, and the reason for that is simple. Nina kills all the Tier-2 Golems, so I get the scraps. But that was the plan, and I will be hunting alone today.
Nina will also hunt alone today, and she will Evolve her Race tonight. I want to be there for it, so we agreed to do it at night, so Draka and I can watch over her.
When someone Evolves their Race, they are vulnerable, and depending on their evolution, might even be extremely weak, or asleep.
Most Humans will evolve to High Human, which increases the Attribute points they gain per level to 10, but they do not gain any skills any more per 10 levels. Humans also have the lowest amount of known evolutions.
Draka saw me stop working,"Did you gain it?" She asked me, and I told her I did. Now that I have the skill, I can start training it and hopefully upgrade it to the Artisan skill.
"Now that we both have it, I will start my hunting, and you can start practicing in peace." I told her, and we discussed the skill for a while. We have only one Smelter, and one block of metal that we can use as an anvil, but now that we have the Skill, we learned several things, including how to make a good Anvil, and good tools.
"I will, and I will first start on our tools." She told me, and when I walked out the room, she told me,"Nina is already out hunting, so happy killing."
While walking towards the exit, I looked at the sphere which has Kali inside of it. It has shruck by several meters, and have become more oval shaped.
I told Draka goodbye and ran to the west, to the direction of the Orcs, since I want to use them to train my skills, and increase my level. Normally, I would not do so, but the Lyr Protocol made it possible, since I can gain full experience from them now.
Normally, I don't run, since Nina does not like running, but now that I am alone. I can run, and I forgot how freeing it feels, since it has been a while since I did so.
After running for 1 hour, I already found a group of Orcs, but this group is much bigger than normal. It is at least 40 Orcs, and 2 leaders. Much more than usual.
I look at every Corrupted Orc and use [Battle Instinct], to see for any Tier-2, but there are not any.
Feeling safe, I [Charge] them, and I arrived at their side, and did not give mercy. Hacking, slashing at every Orc in sight, while using my momentum of the first strike, to quicken the next attack.
I was like a whirlwind, slashing anything in range, and the Orcs could not do anything to stop me. One of the leaders was the only one to hit me, but it did nothing, since I trained using the Stone Golems, and they were stronger than these Corrupted Orcs. That is without counting my newest skills that I gained at level 40. Both are useful, but [Will Endure] is my most powerful skill.
All the Corrupted Orcs dead in short order, but I did not gain anything from them except some experience that pushed me closer to level 45.
Looking over the dead Orcs, I find nothing of interest, so I started running again, to the south this time.
After 10 minutes of running, I already found something. This time it was a lone Orc, and it was taller than the other Orcs. Like all the Orcs, it is wearing full plate armor, and this one was not wearing a helmet. It noticed me, and charged at me.
'Tier-2, and strong. This will be hard.'
[Charge] and running, I met its weapon with my own. It also uses a two-handed axe, but his was made from metal, and better quality too. The first clash, and I lost in weapon durability, since my weapon gained a nick in it. But my Strength was slightly higher than his, so, I won in Strength.
It did not like that, and it roared in my face. Black tendrils started worming around its chest, and going through its arms. It looked like black tubes coming from its chest, and attaching to his arms.
'So, that is a power up.'
It is obvious, and I was not going to wait for it. I attacked again, and used [Brute Force] to increase my Strength by 10% for 20 seconds. I also used my upgraded skill, from [Power Strike].

It is a direct upgrade, but it uses much more Stamina than the other previous skill. Its power increases by a massive amount, and it is the best of the choices I had, since I want to use this as a Power attack, and not use it as much as I used [Power Strike].
My attack hits its axe, that it used to defend itself, and the force pushed his own axe against his body, and pushed him and the ground. I wanted to take advantage, but some kind of dark energy flew from it, and impacted me.
It pushed me back by 10 meters, and took 5% of my health away from me. The Orc took the time to stand up, and it looked at me in anger and pure hatred. Its chest armor is made from plate armor, and has a long dent in it, from its own axe.
He charged at me again, but it was slower than before.
'So it sacrifices speed for power.'
I need to test its new strength without dying. I also need to kill it in one hit, so decapitation is the only way. Kali told us, that they will regenerate insanely fast and are hard to kill.
While I was planning, he came in front of me and swung his axe at me, vertically. The force of the attack was noticeable, and I knew that I could not defend against it, without losing a lot of Health. But, I am not as static as he is, so I sidestepped, and rotated my body with my swing, hoping to take away his head.
My attack got deflected by its shoulder pads, and its angle went a little too high. A piece of its head was sliced off, and I could see its brain.
'That is disgusting! Is that the {Corruption}?'
It looks like hundreds of thin threads are encasing and eating its brain. Like a parasite. It looks very bad, and disgusting. Before I could attack again, its head started bleeding black fluids, and it made a new skull.
Its new skull looked like it was made from pure darkness, and makes the Orc look much more sinister. Its red eyes also turned black, and tendrils were moving all over its body.
'I think that I angered it even more.'
I attacked again, since I did not want to wait for it to be done with its power up, and {Black Fog} came from its body, and I jumped back.
It was a good thing that I did, since the {Black Fog} started turning into black threads and came after me, but I jumped far and then used [Charge] to move farther away from it.
This morning, I took some [Waters of Lyr] just to be certain, but I did not want to test the effectiveness of it on those black threads.
I was 50 meters away from it, when the black threads returned to its body, and I waited for its transformation.
The {Black Fog} became thicker, and after 20 seconds, it went inside the Orc and I saw the new being. Its plate armor is fused to its body, which has grown much thicker. The reason why it is thicker is the black flesh around it, that encases its whole body. Even the head is completely black from the flesh-like material.
Its weapon was dropped on the floor, and the reason why it dropped it is obviously when looking at its hands. They have become big lumps of the black flesh, and has several spikes on it.
'it is more powerful, but should be slower.'
The reason I think so, is my [Battle Instinct]. It gives me basic info about the Battle, and it told me this. It also told me other things, like the use of its new weapons, and how to defend against it. Not get hit by it. Kali's specialty, and sadly not mine.
'I have 25 Attribute points, so, I could add them to Agility, but that is not my style. Putting them in strength would be best, but I will wait for that. This fight is also an opportunity for me.'
I have noticed that my [Battle Instinct] has been increasing at a very slow pace compared to my other Skills. After asking Kali for her advice, I know why it levels so slow. I need Battle to increase it, and the battles I have fought lately, were too easy.
The Orc roared again, and this time, it had a deeper tone to it. It charged me again, and I noticed that [Battle Instinct] was right. It is much slower than before.
I stayed calm, even with this monster coming at me. Until it was within 5 meters of me, and then I used [Charge] to close the distance between us, and used its slow reaction to arrive at its side, and slash at his arm.
A deep cut was created by my axe, but I could see it being healed at an incredible speed. It was visible being healed by the black threads, and before I slash it again, the last cut was already half healed. Seconds. That is how long it takes for it to heal a deep cut, which made me understand what Kali meant.
'That is ridiculous. That cannot be sustained, I hope.'
I keep rotating around it, keeping to its back and side, so it cannot retaliate. Cuts keep appearing around its body, and get healed in seconds. But after 2 minutes of doing this, it slowed in its healing. Only by 1 extra second, but that is a difference. From 3 seconds to heal, to 4 seconds to heal. It is a decrease, and it made me happy, since I did not use any Skills the whole time, since I wanted to keep my Stamina high.
Although this monster is dangerous and powerful, it is stupid. The Orc was smarter, and knew what to do but after doing this for a while, it still has not changed its method. It has traded its mind for extra strenght, and that makes this battle much easier.
After 3 minutes in the fight it took him 5 seconds to heal. 5 Minutes, it took him 10 seconds, and at 7 Minutes, it took 20 seconds to heal from a cut.
'I was waiting for that.'
I moved backwards, and the Monster followed me. When it got closer to me again, I threw my Axe into its body, and it flew into its neck.
'Thank you [Axe Mastery].'
I crouched and took the axe that the Orc dropped. [Charge] took me me infront of it, and I used [Brute Force] to increase my Strenght by 10%. Rotating my body around to increase the force of my attack even more, I use [Cleave] and [Brutal Slash] to slash its neck.
My new axe cut its head clean off, but it used one of its arms to punch me, and it was already on me when it died, so the force still struck me. It hid me in my side, and slammed me away from it. I flew in the air, and then my back hit a tree,"Argh Fuck."

My back was hurting a lot, and my side has a deep hole. One of the spikes punctured straight into my waist, and hit deep enough to harm my insides. It is bleeding a lot, and I used [Vitalizing Will] as soon as I was on the ground. It was slowly healing me, but that would not be enough normally, but my Health is extremely low at 12%, and my new Skill [Will Endure] is boosting my Attributes. Including Willpower and Vitality, so it is healing much more than normal.
