Interlude 6
Yennifer's Pov
I started as a simple [Scholar], as a Simple Sun Elf without a Magic Affinity. I learned, and learned, for hundreds of years.
I became a [High Scholar], even without Magic Affinity, something that my own People, and even my Loved Ones, did not expect to see.
I became a [Sage] after Hundreds of years of Solitude. Learning and Learning, but nobody to teach.
I became a [Great Sage], something that took me thousands of years, first of my Class, I knew the mystery's of Magic better than anyone, but no Student.
I became a Teacher, My Greatest Achievement, and I taught her all I knew.
I fulfilled my purpose as a [Great Sage] at last, and became a [God].
Book of Korin, chapter 1.
The Teacher was reading the first passage of the Book out loud to our class of 12 people, we are all 18 years old, and joined the Academy.
The Academy was founded 20 years ago by the King and Queen of Lorenta, to help the people become stronger, but it cost a lot of money to enter it, so most are children of Nobles or Rich people.
"So students, what have we learned from this?" The Teacher asked the class.
"That we are lucky to have a Magic Affinity," Kevin Laughed, making fun of the author, his friends laughing with him. Kevin is the bully of the Academy, his Father is a Noble, so Kevin thinks he can get away with things, sadly he indeed does.
"Shut up, Kevin, that was written by Korin, God of Wisdom," Silena said, another classmate of mine, she is very smart, but too naive too.
"Correct, Silena" the Teacher said, ignoring what Kevin said, since he cannot stop it either, if he reprimanded Kevin, the teacher would just be replaced." and do you know more about the book?" the teacher asked Silena.
"Yes, the first chapter of the book was written by Korin, the God of wisdom, but the rest of the book was written by his student, and current queen of the Sun elves, Delira." she answered," the book explains a lot about the System and how it works, Korin wanted to teach the whole world, and this book made it possible, sadly only No""that is enough, Silena, thank you" The teacher interrupted Silena, since she was about to talk about something the Nobles would kill her for.
"Now, this is a good timing to stop the class, I will see you all tomorrow, good day" The Teacher said, then took his bag and left the class.
I stood up and walked towards Silena's desk,"you need to really learn to shut up, if not you will die early," I told her, then walked past her to the door, she was yelling behind me, but I had no interest in her after saying my piece of advice.
I walked through the corridors, to the library. Wanting to read the Book of Korin, since I want the perfect class for myself, 'Haste makes Waste' as Mom always says.
There are several copies of the book here, so I took one and went to the back of the Library to read.
"Ah... Yeah... Harder" I heard being moaned at the back of the Library, making me sigh and walk to the middle of the library instead to read in peace.
I read a lot, going through the different types, there was also a Magic Test inside the book, it was a test that would ask questions at you, and you needed to answer what you felt, so I took the test to see what it would recommend to me.

'hmm, it does sound perfect for me,' sadly the book does not show higher than [Tier 2] Classes, but both of these look perfect for me.
'I just need one more Dexterity, then I can get [Rogue] and then work towards [Shadowblade]' I planned, then stood up from the desk and returned the book.
I walked through the corridors again, this time to the Gym, to get some advice on Dexterity training. it did not take long for me to reach it, since the Gym is close to the Library.
"Hmm, Nice" I whisper while checking out a hot girl, that was stretching, and bending over, showing the outline of her tight ass. Then she straightened and looked back at me, surprising me since it was Silena, I did not know she had such a hot body. In the Academy uniform it is hard to see her body, but I should have expected it, since she has a pretty face.
"What are you doing here? Yennifer" Silena asked with anger, probably still angry at my advice, or maybe because even now I am looking her over.
"Checking out a hot girl, do you want to Relax with me in the shower after your training?" I said with a sultry tone.
"W-What?, NO" Silena yelled then walked to the locker room, and I followed her with my eyes 'Nice Ass'. When she entered the locker room, I started walking toward the coach, since he would know how to train Dexterity.
"Hello Coach, I would like to train Dexterity, can you recommend anything?" I asked him. He looked at me, looked over my body, but it did not feel sexual, more like a healer looking at a wound.
"Yeah, what do you need it for, if you do not mind me asking?" he asked me.
"For my Class, can we speak in private?" I asked him, since we are in a gym with other people, and a choosing a Class is a very private thing.
"Yeah, follow me," he said and lead me into his office, then on his desk, and pressed a button, that made a green barrier surround the room. "This is a Secure Seal made by an [Enchanter], nothing said inside here will leak outside, That is My Oath" he continued then used an Oath, meaning he will lose his Class if he breaks it.
"I plan on becoming a [Rogue], then a [Shadowblade]" I said, and wanted to tell him what I needed as requirement, but he stopped me with a raised hand.
"No need to explain further, I already know the Requirements for those, so let's make a Plan," he said.
"Since you need [Blades] Level 10 for Shadowblade, I recommend starting on that, since training on that also increases Dexterity, [Running] will increase your Agility, and doing daily training will increase Strength and Endurance, it is always good to train, since it increase your Attributes even more, for Stealth I recommend following someone, or sneaking into some areas, while staying hidden." He explained then wrote it all down for me.
"Thank you," I said in surprised, since I was expecting some small advice for Dexterity, not all this.
After that we parted ways and I decided to change clothing and start training, they have all kind of wooden weapons here, so can start at that, then get the class as soon as possible.
When I enter the locker room I saw Silena again, she was dressed in her uniform again, but now that I know what she looks like under that she has become prettier, then she saw me, and she turned her head dramatically at me, then walked out the locker room.
"Remember my offer, if you ever feel like having some fun" I offered again when she walked past me, making her angrier.
I dressed in my sport clothing and walked towards the weapon racks, to check out the weapons. I ignore any other weapons than the ones defined by the System as [Blades], since there are [Short Blades], [Blades], and [Long Blades]. Good thing is that the racks are also taking that into account, so the [Blades] Skill weapons have their own rack.
I looked over all the weapons, picked up the middle one, Since the coach said in the class to first start at the middle weapon, since it is the most balanced, not heavy, not light either, not long, or short, just a longsword.
When I held it in my hand it felt too heavy and long, so I put it back and looked at the left of it since there is the lighter ones. I tried different ones until I reached the Jian sword, it is slim, not too long, and feels right.
I trained with it for hours, I was in Love, this sword is perfect, and I never felt more alive than with it in my hand. After training for 2 hours I was very tired, so I went towards the locker room to shower, and change back to my uniform. Then walked toward the Coach to ask for a copy of that sword to train with at home.
Since I did not have another copy on my name, it was allowed, so I walked home with my new love.
I decided to take the Coach's advice and choose someone that lives close to me, and followed him, making certain to keep hidden between the crowd, until we reached at my house, I stopped following him, and entered my house.
I live with my mother and big sister in the red-light district of Lorenta. It is a nice house, one of the nicest in this district, and close to where Mom works as a [Courtesan], the [Tier 2] Class gained after Promoting the Class [Prostitute].
She was now free since she works mostly at night, so she is reading a book in the living room, and she looked up when I entered.
My Mom is 41 years old, but she looks like my sister, she is very beautiful, with a slim build, since she is a [Tier 2] but also a [Courtesan], which stops her age from visually changing her, meaning she will look like she is 20 years old till she dies. She is a very popular and desired.
"Yenn, how was your day?" Mom asked me, then made room for me to sit next to her, which I did.
"Got a Class in mind to work towards, so have started training to gain it, what about you?" I said, while looking at the book she is reading, it is a romance book,'I knew it,', my Mom loves Romance books so am not surprised to see her reading it.
"The normal things, just woke up a couple of hours ago and decided to clean a little and read." she said,"Which Class?" she asked
"[Rogue], then [Shadowblade], I already started learning [Blades] for the future," I told her, then showed her the sword I am going to learn it with.
"Good, you should follow your passion" Mom said while she hugged me, and then she stood up,"Now, you better put your all into it, or you will never even reach Tier 2, I will see you tonight, I have a party to get ready for," she said, then walked towards her room.
"Have Fun, and be safe," I say to her,"Haha, of course it will be fun, It is a Party after all, you know how much I like those," Mom said, and she was right, I know she will have fun, since she is following her passion, just like I will.
