When Su Tang uttered the sentence, she knew that it was a mistake. An immediate blush crept up her cheeks while she flashed an embarrassed smile to Song Shian.

‘Jade blood?’ ‘Silver gun?’ Song Shian looked at the suspiciously acting woman in front of him, but he quickly realized the underlying meaning behind her statement. He couldn’t help but put on a strange face as he asked, “You, who taught you this?!”

The innuendo was indeed far-reaching but also very distasteful; not something that should be coming from a woman’s mouth.

“That … That …” How could she say that she accidentally came across it in a folk erotic novel before … uh, probably not a good idea.

“I … In fact, it was the working girls who were saying some uncouth words, and I just happened to accidentally overhear them …”

Anyways, they had other plentiful bad deeds to their names, what’s one more?

Song Shian took a deep glance at her, then stopped talking altogether and continued to rub her belly. At the same time, a thought came to Su Tang: Was she a little light on the punishment?

Su Tang remembered something. She then arched to his side and whispered:

“I’d like to talk about something.”

“En.” Song Shian responded.

“Well, are you satisfied with how I dealt with the situation today?”

Of course, he was not satisfied. What he really wanted to do was to throw them all far away, but he knew that it was impossible, so he responded again.

“En.”

Su Tang’s eyes lit up. “Then what should we do about the other subordinates?” Song Shian paused. There were too many people to delegate in the house, he was aware, but he wasn’t sure how to deal with the problem, but he couldn’t shirk from it either. Keeping them was almost like ostentation of sorts and to add to the problem, things were getting pretty suspicious in the household as of late.

He couldn’t turn his back to it if he wanted to save face! And yesterday, Yang Shilang even wanted to send two “smart” maids over … Song Shian looked at Su Tang and said, “Do you have a solution for this?”

Su Tang nodded and smiled mysteriously.

Song Shian couldn’t help but give her a sidelong glance. He stopped moving his hands, intent on listening to what she had to say.

“Hey, don’t stop your hands.” Su Tang said discontentedly.

Song Shian’s face blackened at her words.

Su Tang then continued, “This ancestral old Chinese doctor specializes in treating psoriasis such as these. The problem with your household is that there is inadequate wealth is intractable and difficult to treat disease! But use my prescription to cure it.”

Song Shian looked at her, who was sounding all mysterious.

Su Tang also stopped selling out Guanzi, “Didn’t you tell me that Xiao Mo is going to open a pastry shop, you will find no one for a while, or so I think. Anyway, there are many masters in our house, and the maids are all clean and handsome.  So, let’s pick some hard-working and handy ones and let them go to the pastry shop to help?”

Su Tang stopped trying to sell her idea, “Didn’t you tell me that Xiao Mo will open a pastry shop soon? Anyway, we have a lot of manpower within the household, with the maids and manservants all clean and handsome. We can pick some of the hardworking ones and let them help out in the pastry shop.

Xi Que had previously informed her that Xiao Mo had found a place to make pastries not far from the shop, however, but he hadn’t settled in yet. In the afternoon, Su Tang noticed a group of people who were coming out while cleaning the west court and had an idea.

On one hand, were a bunch of people with little to no work occupying their day. On the other, was a rich powerhouse lacking in personnel – Such a good coincidence, why not make use of it and gain the best of both worlds?

Besides, these people were still well-informed. They were from the General’s mansion. No matter which people among them were sent over, their qualifications would still warranty them to be better than just finding any random chap from outside. They might not know how to make pastries yet, but they had the capability to handle the reins within three days of training. During this period, Xiao Mo could continue his search for good seedlings. After a month, she’ll be able to pat her butt and leave the General’s mansion. The shop would be well equipped with skilled staff, and her job here would be done! She really was a genius!

Su Tang’s abacus1Abacus = Mental calculations matched was slapped, while Song Shian remained silent. She exclaimed: “Xiao Mo said he will pay for these people. You see, in this way, the shortage of human resources would be solved, and money can also be saved. I say, what a bargain!”

If the decisions prior to this were moved by emotion just now, then it’s time to get lured by profit!

However, as Song Shian listened to her mouthful of “we”, he felt that something was wrong. Two days ago, this woman never expressed interest in referring to themselves beyond “you” and “I”. She was also unwilling to make any mention of managing the household affairs. Why was she suddenly active and concerned out of the blue?

Seeing him frowning, and his gaze filled with suspicion, Su Tang hurriedly said: “As you know, the General’s mansion looks very magnificent, but is in fact so poor that it can’t meet its day-to-day needs. It’s such a shame! I’m starting to get worried about our living expenses. Thus, I… I think it would be a harmonious decision that would both benefit Xiao Mo, and also solves the problems in Fuzhong. Two birds with one stone, how great would that be!”

Su Tang happily finished speaking, and then looked at Song Shian, her expression so seemingly sincere, even monks might pale in defeat!

Song Shian squinted his eyes for a long time. Although he felt something was wrong, he couldn’t bear to refuse Su Tang’s warm look, so he nodded and agreed.

Seeing this, Su Tang showed a sly smile of conspiracy, and hurriedly fixed her face straight. This matter was not over yet! Clearing her throat, she continued: “Although Xiao Mo said he was willing to pay the wages, he has opened the business recently and must be short on money. The servants don’t mind much about how much work they have to do as long as they get their monthly salaries paid. Let’s do this, how about having Xiao Mo pay half the wage, and we pay the other half? The servants will do the full amount of work, and the financial burden would be halved for both the business and the mansion!

-In fact, what she really wanted to say was that there was no need for the mansion to spend a single penny on the servant wages anymore, but she also had to maintain a sense of propriety. Sigh, can’t be helped!

Since he’s already agreed to “lend the personnel”, Song Shian wasn’t bothered regarding the distribution of wages, split by half or not, and said: “Let’s do it!”

Su Tang finally couldn’t hold back her excitement and patted him fiercely. “Cold noodles, you are so interesting!”

Seeing her smile so happily, Song Shian suddenly felt a sense of being willingly played into a trap.

As for the name ‘Cold noodles’… He seems to have been forced to accept it… and before long, got used to it?
